Does anyone know when and if Evelyn is coming to Australian cinemas - anywhere/anytime?

Umm, at the risk of sounding ignorant-what is Evelyn?

Evelyn is Mr Brosnan's new Irish Dreamtime film. It is about an 1950's Irish dude who had his kids taken away from him because he was unemployed. He found some friends (in the form of Alan Bates and Co) and fought an historic court battle to get his kids back.

The primiere for Evelyn was in Spain (Madrid) on MArch 11 ,2003 . It should make it's way there within a month time or sooner .Does any one have a idea of the total worldwide grosses for "Evelyn" .

That was a charity premiere in Spain, it will open in Spain on April 4th. The first non U.S. opening will be in the U.K. on March 21st, after the premiere on the 17th. And it will get a wide opening (about 200 theaters) in the U.K. unlike in the U.S (15 theaters). There's no information yet on when it will open in Australia, and tentatively may be opening in France in October and Germany & Switzerland as late as December.

It's going to be by all appearances a very slow international roll, typical of many Indpendent films, and the distribution is being handled by different companies in different regions. Basically it will be out on DVD in the U.S. (April 15th) far before it opens most places worldwide.
