I'm curious to see if they're are many James Bond vintage poster collectors out there.

If so, please tell us your Top Three Favorite Bond posters in terms of design and artwork.

For me, it's the following:

From Russia With Love (French design) -- It has the classic Connery Bond poster with very vibrant colors. Almost looks like a painting.

The Goldfinger Quad -- The iconic Golden Girl design says it all.

The Living Daylights (International version) -- The new Bond, Timothy Dalton, in the middle of the gunbarrel design and surrounded by terrific artwork.

Honorable mention would have to go to the US one sheet versions of LALD, TSWLM, and the Volcano artwork of an upside down 007 in YOLT.

Anyone care to speculate why the posters no longer have any creative artwork ?? To the dismay of many collectors, the Bond posters since TLD all seem to be Photoshop specials. Makes no sense to me since EON knows the value of the 007 name and image. I'd think they'd go way overboard to creating Bond hype again in the movie memorabilia market but obviously that's not the case !!!

Hm...It would have to be:

1. Octopussy...very clever artwork, though it seems Maud Adams doubled the length of her legs...

2. From Russia with Love...It's a superb relic.

3. Live and Let die (German poster)...I glued it on to the
rapping paper of my biologi-book in the 7th grade. (Early BondFanatic)

Agree. The Octopussy "Nobody Does Him Better" was clever.

Which FRWL are you referring to?

Personally I feel that the For Your Eyes Only Advance One Sheet is the best and most creative. Bond between her legs with the crossbow! Very Sexy!

I collect the posters, where possible. The prices now are just stratospheric and have left me far behind.

However of those I own, it goes like this;

OHMSS UK quad - a classic design
YOLT UK quad - Little Nellie - again, a classic design
AVTAK US 1 sheet - Eifel Tower - typically 80's "007 can do anything"
AVTAK US 1 sheet - art deco - strangely different and captivating for it.
TND US teaser 1 sheet in mylar with the foil effect 007 logo - very funky and bold design.

I really like all the posters but find, like all others, that the designs are now nothing to get excited about. As modern posters go, I like the DAD International art work, TWINE International artwork (I'd like this one even more if they removed the photo inserts from the globe lines) and TND US Main 1 sheet.

Needless to say, I do not own the UK quads from Dr No to Thunderball - at

Do you mean the posters are vintage, or the collectors?

I can't claim to be a vintage poster collector, but I've always loved...

TSWLM (US) I dig the different colors, those "bumped" lines throwing perspective to the center, and the ultra glam and heroic Bond and Anya in the center.

YOLT (geisha girls) Connery looks great in this sexy version of the poster, surrounded by a gaggle of girls in the baths. Unfortunately, neither Aki or Kissy is in the picture.

LALD (US) Again, a very exciting montage, suggested by the film with the tarot cards. I wish that the figures on the Devil and Lovers cards were actually from the movie (where's Kananga?), but otherwise a great timepiece and perfect for the film

Hon mention: Octopussy. Love the 8 arms, holding the jewels, Faberge egg, the gun and Indian style knife, etc. Shows a lot mood, place, and plot hints. Also good way to have Bond and the leading lady (who is the title character, after all) who was so memorable.

also, the TWINE (intl version) this was much better than the US, and properly featured Elektra full front and Christmas in profile. More flattering to both of them (than as they appeared in the US version)

The Goldeneye Teaser poster is also a goodone. Staring down the barrell of the ppk with Bond's eye behind it-awesome! Below the words: "There is no substitue 007"

The tagline "there is no substitute" on the "Goldeneye" teaser is somewhat ironic and funny considering that Brosnan was to be the fifth 007 !

I like the mini-Bond voodoo doll on this one. I think the poster is well inspired by the tarot cards.
