Not convinced myself- what do you think?
Incidentally, this is esentially a BBC Bond-style novel cover onto which I have stuck his face, a gun and some titles- so I can't take any credit.

Thanks for taking the time to make a West Bond poster. I'm not surprised this poster isn't 100 % your own handy work, since your other posters looked much better. I think West looks good enough. But good is not great. I'm sure you could make a terrific and convincing West poster (up for the challenge?). Maybe I'll try and make my own. Don't get me wrong though, I'm really gratefull. You're a stand up guy Mr. Murphy

I'm curious as to why you don't feel West does't look the part.I'm not convince that visually West is a Bond candidate tho.
For the people who are not familiar with Dominic West; West fits the profile of a Bond actor perfectly. Born in Sheffield, Yorkshire, he looks and sounds the part. 6', brown hair, brown eyes. Began appearing in community theater by age 9. Has been acting on and off stage ever since. Starred alongside Sandra Bullock in '28 Days'. Also shared screentime with Mark Wahlberg in 'Rockstar'. Is making quite a name for himself in Hollywood. Plays a crucial role in the Award-winning musical 'Chicago' and stars alongside Julia Roberts in Mike Newells 'Mona Lisa Smile'. Further credits include 'Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace', 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', 'True Blue', 'Surviving Picasso' & 'Richard III'.

Check out the video clips at HBO's 'The Wire'. Especially "Detective William 'Bunk' Moreland", where you can hear a short narration by West in an American accent. You can also catch a glimpse of him in that clip.
Oh please don't get me wrong. It's definately a nice piece. You're still the best guy to call if you want quality fanart :cool:Originally posted by marktmurphy
Sorry; I rather liked it.

I took a look at the photos. He appears to have a mountain of wrinkles over each eyebrow. In every picture he looks either effeminate or rat-faced. He doesn't look like the sort of guy who could walk into a room and ****** anybody, the way Bond is supposed to look. His build is rather slight as well, he's too skinny. Maybe it's the pictures, but he looks weird. Sorry, he just does.
There's also the question of presence. I should've watched for it the second time I saw "Chicago", but I forgot. He doesn't have the presence, IMO, or the looks to be Bond.

Well, in 62 another guy with 'a mountain of wrinkles' appeared on the big screen and did a pretty good job. Who? ????Originally posted by rubixcub
Why doesn't West look the part?
And his build slight? Did you see the second picture? Someone said he had a neck like Arnold Schwarzenegger. If someone has a slight build it's Clive Owen. Not to mention fan favorites like Jude Law and Ewan McGregor.
And he is cast as the loveinterest of Julia Roberts in 'Mona Lisa Smile', so I guess there are people who think West is attractive.
'Chicago' probably isn't his best showcase. I can't judge though since I haven't seen it yet. I did see West in many other different films. Maybe you should too.
