And if the line wasnt already used as a lame Seagal movie, Bond could have looked down at the dead villian and remark "Hmm, half past dead"

Nice Idea.
But i wil see that the new Bond falling to clock tongue the hanging there.
The Clock made a lof of noise.
I know there can made that look to the Millinium Doom in Twine.

Action movie producers may be wiser not to touch the location for a few years for fear of comparisons.

CGI would look too cheesy. A replica or model would also look dumb.

The building is St Stephen's Clock Tower.
This aside - the Robert Powell version of The Thirty Nine Steps springs to mind

I thought it as known as Westminister Tower, mind you, apparantly, it is accepted as being called Big Ben due to so many calling it and recognising it as having that name. Also, in OHMSS's title sequence ... wasn't there a figure hanging off the hour/minute hand of a clock ... whether or not that is to represent 'Big Ben' (or whatver you wish to call it) I don't know.
