After browsing his official Website, I would still go for Adrian Paul though. All other actors mentioned above would look like weeping boys beside him. None of them is Bondesque. Adrian doesn't look old to me, he's got that boyish profile on the contrary.
I still hope he plays Bond even for a couple of films or as back-up until EON found that 35-45 yrs. old Bondesque actor who's really worthy of the part. I think it's gonna be a good move for them than making a mistake of getting the wrong "younger" guy.

Bond is a self-assured Man not a Yuppie

We already have a thread on this subject: The highlander (Adrian Paul?)-the next Bond

In short, Paul will be too old (49) when he gets a chance to replace Bond. That's too old. He also has a lack of big screen credits and many people believe his acting range is limited.

But age is just a number. It doesn't really represent the actual look.
There are people who look younger than their age and Adrian Paul is undoubtedly one. Men get better when they are older (cliche'). There's nothing wrong with Adrian's acting imo.

Still, in this case, the age of 49 will definately prefent Paul from getting the part. And although you may not think there is nothing wrong with his acting, Paul really needs more movie credits on his resume, since EON will definately look for an actor who can carry a multimillion dollar blockbuster like Bond. I'm sorry to say, but he's definately out of the game. He had his chance when he auditioned in 94.

Cannot carry a blockbuster? Neither is any of the other "younger" actors mentioned. In fact they could be much worst.

Many of the younger candidates at least have experience in big Hollywood films. Dominic West plays an important part in Academy Award nominee 'Chicago' and will co-star alongside Julia Roberts in 'Mona Lisa Smile'. Hugh Jackman has starred in both 'X Men' & 'Swordfish'. Jack Davenport played an important part in Academy Award nominee 'The Talented Mr. Ripley' and will also co-star in 'Pirates of the Carribean'. Gerard Butler co-stars in both 'Timeline' & 'Lara Croft and the Cradle of Life'. Jeremy Northam starred in films like 'Gosford Park', 'Amistad', 'The Winslow Boy' & 'Emma'. Clive Owen also starred in 'Gosford Park' and was one of the leads in 'The Bourne Identity'. James Purefoy played a bitpart in 'A Knights Tale' and a more important part in 'Resident Evil'.

Paul on the other hand has never starred or had a bit part in a movie that didn't premiere on t.v. or on video with the exception of the Highlander film.
