I bought Serving Sara recently on DVD, and it's got a great Bond spoof at the beginning. I know there were unfounded rumors that Matthew Perry was going to play Bond, and a lot of you guys got all pissed off over it. Personally, I don't know why Perry couldn't play Bond {cough, he's Canadian!}. They let George Lazenby play Bond. They let Timothy Dalton try to play Bond. Why not Matthew Perry? Anyway, if anyone wants to see what Perry would look like as Bond--tux, gaming tables, in an elevator shaft--see this movie.

I've seen serving Sara, though I never thought of the start as a Bond spoof. I was pretty much distracted by Liz Hurley.

Matthew perry isn't tough enough to play Bond and I could only picture him as Chandler.

Matthew Perry's not British, Irish, Scottish, or even Australian.

He's an established TV star, but making him 007? Big risk. Sometimes I start laughing the moment I see him on-screen.

It's like you're waiting for him to pull a joke.

Funny, but I had similar feelings watching Sean Connery in First Knight....I was sub-consciously waiting for him to do some 007 stuff.

Look this is one of the dumbest threads going. Matthew Perry is just a over-extended TV. No talent. Remember the movie that he made with Salma Hayek . How in the name of god would a "WOMAN" like Salma Hayek could be enticed to have sex witha Matthew Perry. Unless he was on death row a felt that such a act would enable her to automatically get into "Heaven. This is who some want as Bond. No sexual asurrance!!!

You'd have to be on some strong medications to buy Matthew Perry as James Bond (even stronger than the ones he was taking).

The thought alone is insane. I mean, with all of the actor who could do Bond if they tried, why would ANYONE think him? I even don't like his comedic acting. Plus, he's a sitcom actor. Sitcom actors are notoriously bad in movies, because they are doing sitcom acting. TV and film are very different. Plus, even his comdeic movies suck.

I don't care much for Dominic West, but atleast I could see him as Bond. NOT Chandler.

He's put on a lot of weight lately, he is sure proportional to Brosnan If he gets that accent down, I'd buy him as Bond....snoogans.

You are right ! But only in the Live-Action verision of "James Bond jr" . Now that an idea for a real EON spin-off !!!

We are all in agreement with this then. Matthew Perry will not become James Bond.
