You know, I'm thinking about it. But I got 2 kids under two and my house resembles the first 20 minutes of "Saving Private Ryan" these days. And that's on a good day. However, my wife said I should go, so I may catch "Dr. No". After that, I may be feeling guilty about being out while my wife is stuck at home dealing with Oddjob and Rosa Klebb (the kids).
What do you reckon?

But these opportunities don't popup too often, so take it while you can

Will you stay for both Freemo? And get there early perhaps?
Can get there early no probs.
Staying for both, I'm not so sure. Proceedings usually end around 12 midnight, but the last train is like 11:45 pm or something, and I wouldn't risk the last one so I'd take the second last at like 11:30. The last two times I've gone to the theatre I've missed the last 1/2 hour of the second film. Oh well.

Such intrigue. We're gonna need a password. Get a corner table away from the window. Near an exit. I'll make contact.

We're gonna need a password.
Heh, yes. We can either chat about delectatos or how lighters are better until they stop working.

Aww, I'm just kidding. Besides, I have to stir them now while they can't understand a word I'm saying. They're good kids, really.

I got it. How about;
"At least Oromares and his friends will be out of business."
And the reply is;
"At least he won't be using heroin flavoured bananas to finance revolutions."

We'll have to make sure that Freemo brings along a banana, seems most appropriate.

U can get yuour tickets at ticketek, what u get is a seat in a 'special section' reserved for ticketek customers. U dont actualy get a partiuclar seat but u are guaranteed entry incase it turns out to be popular and i imagine it would be given that old connery bonds arnt screened very often any more.

So, who's looking to attend?
I'm gonna try and make it for at least "Dr. No". I'd love to stay for both but I'm not sure.
But then, Roger Moore once said; "No sense going off half cocked."
Although he wasn't referring to a Bond double at The Astor.

I'll be keeping the British end up on the night. That is, I'll be wearing a Union Jack top.

I can't quite remember when I last saw an old Bond movie on the big screen. I think it was in the early 80s when the Paris Theatre (was near Central Station, but since demoloished) was running a Bond festival. I managed to see Goldfinger, Thunderball, and You Only Live Twice in the one day.

There's too much to do around the house and I only get Sundays off from work at the moment. Hope y'all had a great night and thanks for the invite, Blue Eyes.
Oh well, next time perhaps. The Astor tends to put on a Bond double every six months or so. They will probably screen "Die Another Day" in a few months.
THE END
JAMES BOND WILL RETURN
(to the Astor)

P.S.- Spewwww!!!!

It's great seeing Bond on the big screen.
The prints weren't the best, and at times the Dr No print was almost laughable. I also noted that apart from a few cuts because of destroyed cells, the version was a censored version with a few little extra cuts for some reason.
The Goldfinger print was a lot better. To see Honor Blackman inform us that her name is Pussy Galore on the big screen made a few peoples nights!
And my congratulations to the three people who brought their young (under 10 I'd guess) sons along. One I was standing near had an impressive knowledge of Bond for someone his age, asking his dad if he'd seen this Bond film and that Bond film. I'm not sure that I knew most of them by name at that age.
