I know it's an unlikely choice, but does anyone else think that James Earl Jones would make a good Bond villian?

Only if it's a remake of "Moonraker." ("I am your father, Bond!")

Perhaps, but isn't he rather old now? The FYEO pre-title sequence all over again...if you catch my drift.

I've suggest James Earl many times before. I'd really love to see him play Le Chiffre.

I WOULD LOVE THAT AS WELL, just dont think we will ever see jones as a bad guy in a bond film, and as he is getting on in years it might be to late

Good choice. I've always thought that he would make a great villain. He has that larger than life quality found in so many of Fleming's best villains.

Why? He has never palyed a "Villian" before. I don't really consider him a part of the "Star Wars" films since they just used his "voice" .

Okay you got me . He turned into a "snake" . I doubt that James Earl Jones , remembers that movie ,or wants anyone else too either. Not his finest moment.

JEJ is a great actor and would have been a perfect Kanaga. But right now he's getting a little bit old and has bad legs so there could no physical stuff. Too bad. Reading the novel "Live and Let Die" all I could think of was how perfect a choice he would have been.

Can't remember his face to much, but I think I know the one. Is it the big burly african bloke with the really deep voice that was in some Arnie movie a few years back?

B007GLE, you're right, the role of Kanaga would have been perfect.

Try big burly African-American , was the voice of "Star Wars" Darth Vader. No he would not have been good as Kanaga. if you are reading the book no named "Kanaga" is in the novel . It a Black criminal name "Mr. Big".

I agree that James Earl Jones is looking slightly past it. I don't remember seeing him in a film since Clear and Present Danger(1994), and he looked about 60 in that!

Actually, James Earl Jones will play a Blofeld type villain behind the scenes, pushing the buttons, sending off the henchmen...the main villain Bond will go up against will be Chris Tucker.

Now Chris Tucker is in the running to become James Bond . Just as talented as all the other names mentioned in this threads.
