I'm wondering if the Aston Martin DB5 will also feature in Die Another Day; don't get me wrong, I like the Vanquish very much, but I just like the classic tone, and the idea of continuity that arises when we see Bond driving around in the good ol' DB5.

They did this in both Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies (which was great) but I didn't see the car in TWINE. Does anybody know something about the DB5 in DAD?

One does wonder why Bond needed the DB5 sent to Turkey, seeing as the mission was over.

I noticed Benson fixes this in his novelization (as he does many of TWINE's plot holes). He says Q sent it along with the Z8 as a "backup."

I hope that we will see the DB5, both because having Bond use it as his private car is a great "update" of the literary Bond's fondness for vintage Bentleys, and because it would fit in nicely with the "nods and winks' to Bond's history.

Yes it can be seen in The World is not Enough at the end in the heat vision.

As to being in Die Another Day I don't know. But I'd sure like to see it. If only briefly as we did in Tomorrow Never Dies. There's no need for a big suquence like GoldenEye. Keep it simple.

The DB5 is still in TWINE - it's in the scene with the heat vision thingy at the end. If you look carefully enough, it's sitting next to the building in Turkey.

Just as he asked in Goldfinger"Wheres my Bentley?" perhaps he could ask"Wheres my DB5?"Because a Bentley in 1964 would have been as old then as a DB5 is now,if you see what i mean.To the same reply:"It s had it s day i m afraid."

I asked in a similar thread about the DB7 being featured in DAD, but I guess that's a little off-topic. Anyway, I hope they feature it in DAD for a little bit, and I think it would be great if the suggestion above happened. It'd be great if it could be in the background of Q-Branch, with some technicians working on it (similar to DAF), removing the gadgets. But seeing as how the Q scene is in the Underground, I don't think it'll happen this time round.

That's the DB5!? Hey, I never knew that. I thought it was the Z8 (and therefore a mistake). One does wonder why Bond needed the DB5 sent to Turkey, seeing as the mission was over. Maybe Christmas has a thing for old cars. "Oh James, my dad drove a DB5. Come here and make love to me." Poor Christmas. Very troubled.

re:I didn't see the car in TWINE

They did film the DB5 in TWINE - Moneypenny drove Bond to the funeral (his arm was in the sling) but they cut it out -either for time or/and because BMW didn't like it being in.
I wouldn't have thought the DB5 will be in DAD after all - Bond will be in an up-to-date Aston.
