Character name mis-spelling?

Hmmm, spotted this the other day and I thought I'd put it to all you Bond experts out there...

Is the (now dead) double agent Miss Maria Freundenstadt of TMWTGG (1965) the same as the double agent Miss Maria Freudenstein of 'Property of a Lady'(1963)?

They can only be one and the same - I was just surprised that Fleming got the spelling wrong.

He was ill. He also screwed up Goodnight's hair color.

Yes. And as for Goodnight's hair, it could've been dyed...before, because only the blonde he described in TMWTGG could've been the bimbo of the film.

And Honeychile Rider was mentioned as Honeychile 'Wilder'. Rather strange mistake for the editors not to pick up.

I noticed in LALD that Strangways is spelled "Strangeways" several times.

Wasn't 'Wilder' Honey's married name?

As for the Strangeways thing...I always thought Strangeways sounded much cooler!

In the Playboy (april 1965) version of "The man with the golden gun" her name is Freudenstein not Freudenstadt.
