I recently bought a nice little set of the new edition Fleming books. It was reduced in price in a shop in Winchester called Past Times to

Unfortunatly, I don't think you will be able to get a hold of them in the Us, but it is definatly worth a try.

I am glad that I have somthing at least someone envies. :)

You can just order through amazon.co.uk. That's how I got the Penguin editions of the Fleming novels I didn't have.

Oopps, sorry I thought zencat meant the set, not individual ones. That's why I said I didn't think he would be able to get them in the Us, since the company, as far as I am aware, is British.

Just my luck. I start buying the reprints and then I find out there is a boxed set. Oh well. I was searching for it, but to no avail. FYI: the books I bought (CR to FRWL) all had Fleming's picture on the inside cover. Weird, huh? Anyway, thanks for the excellent pictures. At least now I know what to look for.:)

I just received this set too, courtesy of the same store...Past Times.

So, I ask again Zencat, now that you have seen it:

Do I leave it wrapped up, or do I read them?

Well I have obviously opened them, otherwise there wouldn't be the pics. :) But books are for reading, as my Grandad says. I didn't want to open mine, but I did anyway.

Phew, I thought you would say one shouldn't, and then I would be in trouble! ^_^

Yeah, I plan to enjoy the books, but I find Benson's a bit better, and I have yet to crack open a Gardner. :)

Tell me when you get the set zen. :)

It may sound like a stupid question, but how thick is Diamonds are Forever? I looked at amazon.com and it said that the width of the new American one was .45 inches (1.15 cm), which seems fairly thin. At amazon.co.uk, it didn't give the dimensions of the British one, so I was wondering how thick it is.

Cheers, Tehuti! :) There probably aren't too many sets still available, so I'll probably just buy the books individually. It will be some good reading. :)

Bought a copy of You Only Live Twice the other day from Waterstones in Piccadilly. The inside cover has the Fleming pic.

But what bargains some of you guys are getting! I must check out this Past Times place.

Does anyone know if, once all the USA versions have been released, if the US Penguin Company will release the US versions in a similar boxed set? I like the vintage look of them, but I prefer the character of Bond to be prominent on the cover. One of my favorite covers is the UK Pan version of FRWL with Peff's artwork.
