I didn't notice it until I saw it in a documentary but it turns out that the hull number for the fictitious USS Wayne (SSBN 593) in TSWLM actually belonged to the ill-fated USS Thresher (SSN 593) which sunk off the coast of the United States in the early 1960s.

Coincidence or intentional -- you be the judge.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that was due to a sinus problem that the actress Carole Bouquet had.

Did you know that the interior of Carver's Stealth Ship is the same set as the interior of the Liparus?

I feel really stupid right now. I just re-read the TND DVD booklet and my above post was a mistake. Sorry for the misinformation.

Probably that they were both filmed in the 007 stage. So in a way, DanMan is right, they both housed the sets he mentioned.

Yes I am suspecting that DanMan misunderstood the information they were both filmed on the same soundstage.

Kingdom Come, I read that somewhere, thanks for confirming it! :)

Also, did you know that the outer space scenes in MR was NOT actually shot in outer space? It was filmed on Earth!

Something about not being able to get a crew into orbit to build the space station set...

Yeah. I read too fast and then I read that it said it was the same sound stage and not set.

Not that it was technically a blooper (more a joke by the crew) but over the end credits of "Inside Moonraker" (on the DVD) you see Moore and Chiles doing a scene in the space station when they come upon a man cleaning the windows of the station --- from the outside.

Bet he drinks Carling Black Label (the UK readers should get that).
