I think the best Amercian actor that turned down Bond, was Adam West, you know Batman in the tv series, Cubby phoned him to be On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and Adam professionaly said Bond should be British, and turned it down. But Adam as Bruce Wayne was pretty cool, he had a Bond look to him.

I would agree with yoo there Sean, I think West could have easily pulled off the part of James Bond.

I did not know that! Adam West is the perfect Batman, and it was good of him to say that to Cubby - here's a man with good common sense.

I loved his autobiography as well.

You mean as James Bond right 4 Ur Eyez Only....?

Personally for some reason I can see Adam West as James Bond, he just seems kinda right for the part....

Whatever happened to him after Batman anyway?

opps.. :) yeah as James Bond.. I am usually doing 3 things at once.. sorry about that:D

But even so.. I really can't see him as Batman either :) waaaaay to campy! I like the Dark Knight! thats Batman :)

But yeah Adam as Bond gives me " douche chills" :eek:

But Adam West did play Batman...in the 1960s TV show.

yeah I used to watch that as a kid :)

but now being older and seeing it again, it is waaaay to campy for me..

I used to like The Green Hornet with Bruce Lee as Kato :):):)
