I must be costing them a fortune for all of these press conferences. But... Any news is welcome.... Just hope we get something worth knowing today. The last 2 press events have been non starters!

Honestly...Are you willing to bet?

I hate the fact that why can't they just treat the matter in a more simple way. It has already been extremely clumsily and stupidly handled from the start and extreme bad publicity and damage done. Yes, having the world media is extremely good publicity for the film, but again, this is extremely bad publicity for some other. Is the damage not enough, why can't they be more considerate and end this farce in a more appropriate manner so everyone can accept it in a better way and feel better. I am so sick of all these things happening in the past two months, all the lies, cover-up, the damage, the mismanagement, the distrust, the extreme insensitivity...and now the drama we don't want!

What the hell goes on in your head? You're acting as if you've got some bick stock in James Bond. Eon isn't exactly a government agency here. If you don't like the way Eon is handling things, fine. Just don't come around here and whine about it -- it gets tiring trying to decipher your messages as it is.

I'd like to know what "cover up," "distrust," "extreme insensitivity" your talking about?

As for drama, the only drama going on around here is coming from you. I'm afraid Atlanta's burning, Scarlett.

I'll just pretend I know exactly what 'sick of it' means (White Persian, you should try the same!!) and get to the question.

Why? Because it's advertising that's why.

By having a conference in Cadiz the local Spanish media will go troppy over Bond and Bond at the box-office this November will be twice the size.

Believe me, Bond over here in Cadiz at the moment is a popular topic.

...THEY ARE SIMPLY PLAYING HARD TO GET AND ANNYOING EVERY HARDCORE BOND FANS...

Self-realisation: I must not be a hard-core Bond fan. I own all of the videos. I own several copies of each of the books. I see every movie opening weekend. I see each movie multiple times in the theatre. I talk about Bond all the time. Not a day goes by that I am not involved in a few things Bond related. I create Bond artwork and write Bond fan-fiction. I have a dog named Domino and even my daughter shares her name with a Bond girl. I have posted to these forums now 1360 times. I have a hundred Bond web-sites bookmarked, and visit many of them quite frequently. Et cetera, et cetera.

Yet, now I find out that I am not a hard-core fan. Templer, was kind enough to point out that every hard-core Bond fan is annoyed by Eon's Internet coverage, but I am not. I think they are releasing just the right amount of information. Oh well, if that is the criterion I guess I have to admit that I am not a hard-core Bond fan.

You're a nice person, Xen.

If agentbond's out there, just don't be too dogmatic next time. We've all embarrassed ourselves occasionally here, but we're among friends, and as long as no one gets too insistent that their view is the only one, we can all get along fine.

Can i ask how you know he didn't arrive with the film crew? The press aren't exactly going to rush into to catch some pics of David Tattersal. Beside's how do you know that they aren't all on the next plane? Not all the crew travel first-class you know. And as the last poster put it... So?

Also, 10 of the 12 stages at Pinewood are being used as Die Another Day set's at the moment. Even if the other 2 were not being used by another production, then there is the matter of size, can the stage fit 200 press-members?

Also, having 200 press-members running around at Pinewood, at this stage, they can be sure to get a glimpse of something they should'nt. The backlot can be easilly spied upon, and most of the stages have little or no security.

Also, as Daniel said, there is the matter of Spanish publicity, and having to bring everyone back to England for a press-conference, and then back to Spain, would be a bit of bother for the producers.

Paul, when you speak to Mikey again, please ask him for me who was drinking the Boilermakers when Denise Richards was cast.

I think we are all being a bit too hard on AgentBond. She is young and going through her first big crush on a celebrity. Sometimes, you get carried away.

She realized what she did, and censored herself. She feels bad enough as is, no need to add to her own guilt.

What is totally sick? I can't believe we have to go over this in every thread for you to comprehend. Pierce Brosnan is not being forced to go to Cadiz. He is here to film. It's that simple. He is filming a movie, honouring a contract and doing a job.

What's totally is the fact that you can't get anything in your head long enough to make any sense for yourself. Do yourself a favour, visit this link. It's an old favourite of mine called Chicken Little. Perhaps you know the story? Chicken Little has a seed fall on his tail and he misinterprets it as the sky falling on his tail. Then there's that character, agentbond, who sees that Brosnan's son ends up in hospital and misinterprets it as a cover up because Pierce Brosnan has secretly left the role of James Bond.

I cannot believe someone would be so pessimistic about anything as you can be.

If you can't see why there needs to be a press conference for the good of Bond, and you don't want it to happen then you're not a Bond fan at all. If by now you haven't figured out that Pierce is actually working on Die Another Day and is going to Cadiz to film, then all I have to say to you is grow up!

Seriously though, this mess is the kind of thing i'd expect from Bond20.com. I'm glad we have enough sane and mature people here to keep everything from deteriorating to conversations like these.

Visitors from Bond20.com like Mourning Becomes Electra and Mrs Iona Havelock R.I.P. are enormously welcome here, and have contributed greatly to the discussions (though Mrs I.H. seems to have left us- hey, come back, we like you), but some of the shenanigans that the younger posters over there seem to indulge in *do* seem more suited to the schoolyard than a discussion forum.

A lot of the credit for the standard of civility and tolerance for dissenting views here should go to the Moderators . Thanks guys.

The thought that someone actually believed Pierce was being fired. Not only that, but He would be announcing the new Bond to the world at the April 3rd press conference still makes me laugh.

Well, this is my last post on the conspiracy agentbond has made. This is a lame topic, and I wont post in it anymore*

*incidentally, I made that thread before :) So dont quote me :-p

I think Agent Bond is Jarrah White undercover, she annoyed everyone there with her persistant attacks on John Cleese playing the Quartermasters role.A point i happen to agree with actually, hence why i did nt refer to him as 'Q'.I really do nt mind posts in the manner that AgentBond puts down,i secretly find them rather entertaining. We all love & care about Bond at the end of the day, otherwise we would nt have sought this URL out.It s just that some people have a different manner of expressing themselves than others.

Your right it's just to get all the attension Bond Films need.I don't mind but this film in particular is getting on my nerves, why can't the official site be more upto date with their info??

A few years ago like maybe in 1995 this would have been A GOOD IDEA BUT NOIW IT SEEMS TO ME THAT BOND PRODUCERS HAVE COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN THE POWER OF THE INTERNET AND THEY ARE SIMPLY PLAYING HARD TO GET AND ANNYOING EVERY HARDCORE BOND FANS.Think about it the mystrey behind Brosnan's injury, the title song confusion, where's david arnold and most importantly when are they planning the teaser trailer?

I am happy that the site does not have the ****py access requirements needed by SW episode 2 and Spiderman but still they should learn to be more down to earth and better prepared.

I am quite fedup my self.

All I can say is EON have done their publicity so far perfectly (apart form the title/name thing).

They must, have because they've gotten to you agentbond. They want people to know about the film, but not know many details so that you think 'what happens, I want to know, I can't wait, TELL ME'. Then you have to wait for the film.

Great advertising and publicity. Way better than other films that give you the whole story and plot twists etc on the website (for instance Blade 2 - poor film too).

agentbond,

Your hung up on this notion that Brosnan is being replaced. Its beyond the point of funny, its annoying. Its annoying reading your posts about this. Next youll say is "Dont read them" normally I dont, but I do enjoy to read what the other posters have to say.

Daniel, Mr. *, if this post comes off as an attack or something, do what you must with it. I just had to get this off my chest. Believe me though, at first it was a lot more profane, I cleaned it up a bit.

[Mr*'s Comment: I cleaned it up some more.]
