Revlon cosmetics are to help promote the new James Bond film.

Halle Berry, who co-stars with Pierce Brosnan in Die Another Day, already acts as Revlon's spokeswoman.

The cosmetics company is to create a global marketing campaign in conjunction with the film.

A spokeswoman for MGM said: "Revlon is a legendary brand with worldwide recognition. Especially with Revlon spokesperson Halle Berry as Bond's new co-star, it's a perfect partnership."

Die Another Day is due to be released on November 22.

That's interesting about the Revlon connection, because yesterday I heard on the radio that Halle Berry had walked up to the boss of Revlon and asked for more money because of her Oscar success.
Another possibility may be...Possible Spoiler (Highlight to read)...that Jinx is a CIA agent. For some reason I think about Holly Goodhead in Moonraker with her 'standard issue' CIA equipment (perfume, handbag, etc.) when I think of the Halle Berry/Revlon connection. Maybe Jinx, if she is CIA, will use upgraded equipment. Afterall, we've heard that there will be numerous nods and winks to the previous Bonds.
I really should stop all these conspiracy theories. ;D

Xen, I wondered about the Brosnan/China connection as well considering his politics. And that small blub on Yahoo doesn't mention any Bond connection, just Brosnan. But there is a mention of China's entry into the WTO, and I'm unsure whether it's a private or semi-private clothing company.

Regardless, I'd love to get my hands on the huge PB silk screen/ poster/ whatever it is behind Gong Li! ;-)

I don't know if there is such a thing as a private clothing company outside of Hong Kong, but I do think that if China starts to go more global in their exports, that may help them get into the WTO.

(What will really help them though is to cut out allowing all those bootlegged DVDs, tapes and CDs into the country.)

Can anyone find out if Pierce is really backing this? I just can't wrap my mind around him doing this.

I found this photo of Brosnan/Yeoh for L'Oreal. I assume the ad campaign with Brosnan/Berry for Revlon might be similiar.

I am not surprised by the Berry / Revlon cross over.

Don't be surprised if there is another cross over. Evidently Pierce has now become a spokesman for a Chinese clothing manufacturer. Perhaps the clothing and makeup will combine for one fun ad campaign.

Personally, given the political situation in China, and Pierce's politics, I am very surprised that he agreed to be a spokesman for this company. I am sure he has his reasons though.

I read somewhere that PB's films are the most bootlegged films of any non-Asian star in Asia. Maybe he's decided to actually get paid in China. Either that or they're now bootlegging his face to sell clothes. LOL

Seriously, I have no idea, that's the only blurb I've read. But Gong Li is a very famous actress (one that Pierce has actually said in interviews that he'd like to work with) so I doubt she'd be part of a phony marketing/publicity scheme.

I wonder if he's suppossed to be wearing their clothes in the pic, if so, lovely tie.

How many and what other businesss have been with Bond t help promote both products (Bond and their own)? I believe 7Up did at one point, BMW obviously, Bollinger (sp?) who else, apart from the obvious...cars, drinks (vodka) etc?

Never stop the theories. This is one of the many reasons i talk here. Theories add more to the fun of Bond. That would be really neat to have that happen, in the interview with pierce he said that jinx was an agent. This could happen.
