John Cork and Bruce Scivally will be signing their new book, James Bond, The Legacy at Borders on Westwood Blvd. on Wednesday, December 11, 7:30pm. They will also be giving away oodles of Bond-related prizes at "The World's Easiest James Bond Trivia Contest."

You do not have to buy a book to win prizes!

Also, they will be giving away 3 free James Bond posters (the Die Another Day advance 1 sheet, the Bollinger Die Another Day poster, and the James Bond DVD poster) and a free Johnny Lightning James Bond car with each book sold (while supplies last).

Show up (even if you already have a copy of the book--you can still get it signed). It should be fun.

HERE'S A FEW OF THE PRIZES THEY PLAN TO GIVE AWAY:
Bollinger champagne
Norelco 007 electric razor (we're not joking)
Radio controlled Aston Martin V12 Vanquish
Bond DVDs from MGM
Sony Playstation James Bond Games
12" Bond and Dr. No figures from Sideshow Toys
James Bond music CDs
Bond novels by Raymond Benson
New Penguin editions of the Ian Fleming Bond novels SIGNED by the cover designer Richie Fayhe

If you are saying, "Hey, I didn't know about this book!" Well, it is a massive coffee table look at the James Bond phenomenon...how Bond became popular and why the character remains so popular forty years after the first Bond film premiered. It contains 550 photos and was designed by the team behind The Beatles Anthology.

A few review quotes:
From Publishers Weekly
James Bond: women want him, and men want to be him. It's hard to do justice to such a mythic character, but documentary producers Cork and Scivally manage just that with this volume, a tasty feast for any 007 aficionado.

From Library Journal
Highly recommended.

AGAIN, the event is at:
Borders_Books
1360 Westwood Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90024
7:30 pm, Wednesday, December 11

****If you can't make the event, but you still want to buy a signed copy of the book, check out www.bondlegacy.com

I'm definitely going to be there. Even though I have the book, I think I'm going to get a signed copy for my dad for Xmas. Hope to see all you LA based Bond fans there. :)

I hope they do a book signing up here in San Francisco. I see that their web site lists dates only to mid November. Anyone know if there is an updated list?

Is this worth putting on the main page? (MI6 did it.) It's getting buried here.
