Take a look at this poster, and tell me if you hungre for a return to the cold war, where Bond's main elements were, Dalton can't do it, but Pierce's Bond, targeted for death by Smiert. Opening pre-title sequence we get the TLD theme Bond on the car returning shortly, as Brosnan's Bond is running on the streets of London, his gun is not with him for some reason, Smierch agents in the numbers running after him.

Death to Spies.

I think there's missing gap between LTK and Goldeneye that should be filled in, or it does take place after Die Another Day, and there's Smiert Agents who get re-hired by someone else who has something against 00 agents etc, could bring in cold war elements, but still deal with a today villian using Smiert Spionam agents!

DEATH TO SPIES

I would like to see that part of LTD explored more, a sort of sequel, use some of John Barry's music in Living Daylights, a sequel to the pre title sequence of LTD, but make it a whole film on Smiert Spionam.

It would be interesting to see how they could resurrect SMERSH, with Communist Russia no longer in existence. How about some Communist fanatics (a la GoldenEye) who still want to see the resurrection of the USSR, and were members of the former SMERSH turn the organization into a sort of SPECTRE? They want to take out Bond to prove a point to the world - that SMERSH always fulfills its tasks.

Sounds good, anything to get Smersh up and going, they won't stop until they are dead themselfs. Pierce Bronsnan as Ian Flemming's James Bond in Smiert Spionam-Death to Spies. Tag line "Target Bond, James Bond."

Hmmm - think that EON would be accepting applications for screenwriters? I think I would like to give it a shot...

Go ahead, someone needs to get the ideas to them somehow.
I remember tv shows like Star Trek TNG and Deep Space Nine etc used to get script treatments and stories by fans, and good ones were passed on if used, only if EON could do that.

Well, I would wish for a co-writer. I don't have too much confidence to do a Bond movie on my own - what a mammoth task.

Although, I would love to some day get the rights to Casino Royale (yeah, very realistic, I know...) and write the screenplay for and direct a very loyal adaptation of that excellent novel. Once I win the Oscar for best director on that (haha!), maybe then EON would want to work closely with me on one of their Bond films.
