TMWGG is more underrated than OP. However in terms of the whole series I would say OHMSS is problably the most underrated. I also think that DN is severely underrated as well.

I think OP is a better movie than TMWTGG. Although the latter starred a wonderful Christopher Lee and Maud Adams, it is the bottom of the pile as far as my list of 007 movies goes (along with the truly awful MR).

Octopussy is a great film. I love how they wonderfully fused together the craziness of Moonraker and subdued action of For Your Eyes Only into one film. It works perfectly! One of the elements that adds to it is the suspense. Quite a lot in this film, also, not a bad John Barry score, it's quite good. Usually hovers around my #5th of #6th favorite Bond film of all, It's a great one!

The most underated Moore film has got to be "Ffolkes" but as far as 007 movies go I would say A View to a Kill.

I realized that - I think - after I had already posted my post. :)

I've always loved this film. Of the Roger Moore Bonds, it encompasses everything a Bond film should be, even moreso than The Spy Who Loved Me.

What are you smoking....?

In 1983 I preferred Never Say Never Again and I still do.

What am I smoking? Why, nothing but the best! :)

While I love Spy, OP just does a bit more for me. Both are quite excellent.

Then pass some of it over to me, man, cause I think the same thing.:)

In fact, I don't know why I never posted on this one before as I've long thumped the drum for OP being the most underrated Bond before. People praise FYEO for being the back-to-the-basics approach, but for me that kind of handcuffs what Roger is so good at and slams you over the head by saying "take notice, this is different than Moonraker!"

OP makes up for that by being a great blend of somewhat serious stuff with the lighter fare that made his earlier films fun.
