If Hugh Jackman is your top choice to follow Brosnan as Bond in 2007 or 2009/2010 or whenever, post here. Don't post to say you don't want him or why he wouldn't be a good Bond, or to suggest someone else. I'm just doing this to see who wants him as the next Bond. Too bad we can't post a poll, or I would get percentages on who we favor.

So, if your vote goes to Jackman, post a reply here.

I like Hugh, how old will he be in like 4 years, likely when he might play Bond after Pierce's 5th, I think he looks the part now, then we want him to make at least 3 films, so maybe he could be too old to wait for Bond now, and then do 3 films, we'll see.

I found out on IMDB, was born 1968, so he's about 34 now, in 4 years or 5 years when Pierce's 5th one we assume is his last, then he'll be about the same age as Pierce Goldeneye, 2 years younger at that stage, extra film in his pocket of youth, but we'll see how he ages, should be good for it.

But Jackman could play Bond now, Pierce should do his 5th in 2004, and get Jackman in, save him for aging extra.

Seems age and numbers is a frequently menstioned with Bond and actors, dates, age, never ending.

I think Jackman would be great! Hopefully, his nacent Van Helsing franchise and his ongoing appearances as Wolverine (either in further X-Men installments or in a spin-off series) won't keep him from being able to be Bond #6 come "'007"!

Ehhhh, maybe. There is just something about him as James Bond that doesn't feel right to me.

Definately!!! They need a NAME actor to keep the franchise going. I see this period just like when Connery left the franchise after YOLT. They rbing in Lazenby, who is not a big namke. The audiences revolt. Granted OHMSS is fantastic, but people wanted Connery. Thats why Roger Moore did well, the audiences knew him and accpeted him. I like Clive Owen and Jason Issacs, but Hugh Jackman as Ian Fleming's James Bond 007. That will keep the films going strong!!

Yes...he would make a good James Bond. Better certainly than Clive Owen or Jason Isaacs...

WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?! THEY WOULD BE TERRIBLE! Gargh! Clive Owen does not look like James Bond in any way shape or form. Jason Isaacs would be more suited to playing a villain. Have you looked at his hairline?!

No. Hugh Jackman has my vote at the moment.

Count me in...he's not my first choice, but I certainly wouldn't mind if he got the part. A good actor he is.

Now that it seems Pierce will film Bond in 2005, Jackman ages another 3 years, then another 2 years until 2007, 5 years of aging, lets come back and talk about this about fall 2006 before they start shooting, one thing is certain, if Pierce makes 2 more Bond films, then Jackman won't be Bond, Pierce would of wasted his age away while doing his extra 6th Bond film, lets see how Pierce looks in 2005, likely his last, the man has aged well, but he is human. Jackman could play Bond now, looks like Bond, but 5 years of aging to do at least before we think of him as a real possibility.

I'd definitely like to see him in the part.
Draw a line of intersection between his Wolverine, and the titled Englishman he played in that Rom. Com. with Meg Ryan (sorry, momentary amnesia), and you're pretty much right on target for Bond.

My sentiments exactly, White Persian!

And incidentally, the movie is called "Kate & Leopold".
