I would love to see Armand Assante or James Woods as villain in Bond 21. Anyone agree with me?

Yes! James Woods would make the perfect American villian. He just has a great voice.

Armand Assante would be superb as well. Good choices.

I cant remember who James Woods is (i recognise the name though).

Armand Assante? Absolutley! he'd be brilliant as a Villain. I'd like to see him a Renard-esque villain, but much more intense and dramatic. This is slightly off-topic, but did u notice he and Pierce have similar (well, sort of) lines in a movie?

Judge Dredd:
Armand:Now Who Said Politics Is Boring?

Tomorrow Never Dies:
Pierce:Who Said Communists Dont Know How To Have Fun?

I would totally dig it if James Wood played a villian...he's got that right kind of humor to have fun with the role.

As for Armand Assante...he would be good as fellow spy with James, or maybe a traitorious spy. But, and I know this sounds shallow, but deal with it...he is almost too good looking to be a villian in a Bond flick. Sorry.

I think that Armand Assante is too dramatic for a Bond movie. I'm not sure about James Woods though.

Too good looking for a villian!? Hehe, I can see that, I think :) I still think he'd make a great villian. Along with James Woods, both great choices.

As a huge fan of both Ray Liotta and Nicholas Lea (The X-Files, Krycek) I have grown to know their worth as Bond villains. What do you people think? I've attatched pictures of the two.

Don't need to see pics of those two Ray, I am well aware of their looks :)

As for Villians? I dont know, I dont think either of them is....how to put this, Big Enough? They both seem more suited to henchman.

I think Armand Assante seems a bit too much like either a common crook or too Mafia-like to be a Bond villain. His previous films aren't so great either, such as Judge Dredd or Fatal Instinct.

James Woods is a better choice, but I'd rather not have an American villain. But if having an American villain was essential, then perhaps someone like Stanley Tucci (Italian-American). He can be very cool, calculating and deceptively charming. He was an excellent villain as Richard Cross in "Murder One".

I'd prefer a European one or possibly British, although we've had quite a bit of that recently. But if they go for a British one, I'd like to see Malcolm McDowell or Ian McKellan as a villain. Someone a bit more theatrical or arthouse than James Woods.

Ricardo Montalban would've been an ideal Bond villain back in the 1970s or 80s when he was still in good health. They missed their chance.

If British, then Terence Stamp would lend all the necessary class.

When there were rumors of Kevin Spacey signing on as a villain, I thought that would be an interesting choice (his cameo in "Goldmember" was hilarious!)

Plus, you can link him to his Bond reference in "American Beauty"

Speaking of Malcolm McDowell, he's appearing in a movie next year called "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead"

Talk about coincidences!

(Gustav Graves' quote for those who didn't catch on)

Also, I'll put a vote in for Gary Oldman as a villain
