Future of Bond games...

I like this idea of a whole series and it'd be great if in the future each Bond had their likeness in one of the games and have the anonymous AUF Bond return.
It's cool to have sort of a film/book hybrid in this form and it could definitely open new possibilities of game borrowing from film, film borrwing from game, game borrowing from book and need be, book borrowing from game.
Do you think will see book adaptions ever?
Or will they just go back to doing games of the films?
What do you think should be the next game ie. title, and what should be in it?
It'd be great if we got a Shatterhand game wouldn't it. Also wouldn't it be great if one game was a series of scenarios based on the comic strips?!
Hope I've given some interesting points to think about.

Are there any future plans to re-divide the forum topics and give them clearer names when displayed on 'Today's Posts' and on the main 'Index'?

Should MGM continue in making stories for the games? or should they base the games on films?
I'd much rather prefer to see all future games based on the films - past and present. No more stories that fans can't relate to - it's just boring and makes it just like any other FPS. We need games based on the films - then, we really are in Bond's shoes.
Look at the success of Goldeneye - the game's story was based totally on the film, the levels were from the film - it was just a great game!
Unless something changes...I don't think we'll ever get another Bond game as big as Goldeneye. We need something that really has a lot of time and effort put into it - a real masterpiece.
I know what I'd rather spend my money on this year...Splinter Cell. Why? Because the stealthness is realistic - unlike that in NightFire. Splinter Cell is a true master piece - if it was Bond in those shoes - it would be one big winner of a game.
I'm kinda babbling - so to sum it up:
I want the games to be based on the films and I want the games to have more effort and time put into the development of them!

Exaggeration, you say? Perhaps. But only a little.

Hypothetical situation for a Thunderball game in this style :-
You have learnt while in nassau that the vulcan bomber may be hidden out at sea, u must investigate. Here you would have to contact Felix and then travel around Nassau to find a helicopter in which you could travel out to sea in, u must also remember you need scuba gear, for this u will have to have met Q (the empahsis being on u making these assumptions/decisions rather than having them dicatated).
What do u think?

I think that what we basically want is a non-linear game. All the games since Goldeneye, seem to have been linear - or, you're told exactly what to do. Its just a game where you shoot out enemies rather than actually being able to use your head in how you can complete a level.
I say, bring back Rare

befor you say no
let me say 1/2 things:
-it would be designed by the need for speed team like in NF
-will be like the driving levels from AUF/NF lots better then 007 racing

Is it really true that NF started as YOLT?
Also, the current arcade-style system has to go. NO levels on rails and NO driving-only levels. Give Bond a bigger world to explore (whoever mentioned GTA hit it dead on), give him more vehicle options, give him the option NOT to use a vehicle in some overdone car chase. Something combining aspects of Splinter Cell and GTA would be potentially great.
Now here's a strange idea...
My brother got The Sims Online yesterday and I'm finding it surprisingly fun. I'm not saying Bond should have needs meters or anything, but I'd love to see a Bond game where you could interact with others in a vast online world. It'd be difficult to work it out, as everyone couldn't be Bond but think of the possibilities. Let's say a player has to chose an affiliation (like CIA, MI6, SPECTRE, etc) and then is given missions to carry out certain tasks. If you died you started again, possibly with a new identity. Imagine earning money through missions and casinos, having shootouts with enemies, maybe even driving cars. You could fly from city to city to complete objectives (get on scheduled flight, fade out, show plane landing or something). Never going to happen though...at least not with a Bond game.
