Used to be a pinned story here until The Rough and the Smooth was gutted.

I was angry at CBn and at IFP, and that anger killed the story for a time in my mind and in my heart.

Following the good advice of friends, such as Jeremy Duns, I began to pursue and publish my own stories again.

Eight years later, though, it still bothered me that I had left Bond and Juliette Bliss naked and unconscious in that motel room.

So I picked up my pen.

If you started this story back in the day, and wondered what happened, then this is for you.

If you really don't care, then it isn't.

If any of my old friends are still lurking around here, "Cheers."

Thank you.  And it is good to be back, Dustin.  And also good to see you are still here.  Damn, still starting sentences with conjunctions...

I still have the first two chapters saved, clinkeroo, so I'll be picking up from where I left off!  Good to see you back . . .and writing again!

Thanks, MT.  Always kept writing, just stayed away from writing Bond.  Every ten years I reread Fleming, and it always gives me the itch to play in Ian's sandbox.

Why it's a new Clinkeroo story-actually a continuation of an old one. What a great holiday surprise. I haven't been on CBn for awhile, but I thought I check in and glad I did. Great to see you back and writing.

Thank you, Sir.  Good to see you about, as well.  I also just started checking in again, looking to see what everyone though of all the new book Bond stuff coming out.  Many familiar voices kicking around, and some sadly missing.

Great to see you writing again! From Death's Door remains one of my very favorite pieces of Bond fan fiction. I remember reading the first two chapters of The Art of War quite a while ago and was disappointed with its abrupt stop. I am really looking forward to its finish.
