Don't know if this got posted here before but it's certainly well worth a read.
Glen has some very candid comments about George Lazenby's acting, directing/editing in QoS and modern day digital editing.
Glen also claims that he wasn't the first editor on OHMSS - someone else began editing it but this mystery editor and Peter Hunt had a falling out during production. I suspect Charles Helfenstein's book probably identifies the chap.
Glen, fellow Bond director Guy Hamilton and "M" Bernard Lee worked together on the 1949 film "The Third Man". Glen, fellow Bond directors Peter Hunt and Lewis Gilbert worked together on the 1957 film The Admiral Crichton which Gilbert directed.

Nice touch about still being in contact with Babs and Mikey.

It's a business - but a family business.*
* Evidently I'm hugely in favour of this way to handle things. But one might also argue the series was driven into creative corners because of this very tradition.

It was Benedick Rayner, he did assembly editing on five previous Bond films and sound editing on two Harry Palmer films. He was set to be OHMSS main editor. Charles' book isn't any more specific about the matter, it just says they parted ways and Glen was doing the work with Hunt afterwards.

Interesting. Hunt and Glen later had a falling out on "Shout at the Devil" starring Roger Moore. Hunt fired Glen on that pic. Alan Hume covers it in his own bio "A Life Through the Lens: Memoirs of a Film Cameraman". Ah well, as they say, doctors make the worst patients.
