Double whammy today as not only our dear Bond director, Guy Hamilton has passed away, but also legendary musician Prince died at the age of 57.. I've been a big fan of his since Purple Rain back in 1984 and have always respected his incredible talent as a musican and performer. You shall be missed, O-Purple one!
R.I.P. Prince (1958 -2016)...

RIP. I loved his 1991-1995 period. Brilliant stuff.

Prince, Guy Hamilton, and Chyna all in the same day. I know these things come in threes, but ...
Red Beret was one of the first songs I danced with a girl to. Thank you, Prince.

I only know a handful of his songs as I'm not a huge fan, but I know a true musician when I hear one, and it's clear this was a man passionate about the industry and his career.
He was best known to me being a film fan for his work on the 1989 'Batman' soundtrack.
Very sad, and I hope to hear more of his music in due course.
RIP.

One of the very few musicians truly deserving of the word "genius".
2016 has just been horrible - or is it me?

God must be having a helluva concert now--Bowie, Frey, Haggard, Kilmister, Keith Emerson, Prince, Natalie Cole, Maurice White. He's got all the genres covered--country, rock, R&B, funk, metal even prog rock.
