Oh. Did not catch that at all. Kudos for finding it - and for Mendes to put that in.

That's awesome. Between this and the SPECTRE rings being made from the meteorite, SPECTRE has its secrets.

Nice find.
Probably the only really convincing way they managed to tie Spectre to Skyfall, since the story didn't really make a good case for it. It's a shame that Mendes' attention to detail on this issue couldn't have been present during the writing stage.

Makes me want Bond 25 to be an art heist film. If Blofeld escape in Bond 25 James could track him down by following a trail of stolen art. Blofeld is a collector after all...
The Death Collector.

The first film, Dr. No?

Indeed. It's a nice throwback to the classic Bonds.

Mendes' specialty.
Seems like pretty much everything in Mendes' two films is in some way a throwback of sorts. If I were directing Bond 25, I'd make an effort to go in the complete opposite direction and have as few references to previous Bond films as possible.

So that would cement the tie between Blofeld and Silva.

I'd like to see a tdalton-directed Bond film. A dark thriller with the feel of LTK & QOS. Bond beds no women.

I think SPECTRE feels more like a sequel than Quantum of Solace did to Casino Royale.

It even has the same frame. How considerate of Patrice to not splatter blood and brains all over it.

Maybe he did but the people who quickly dismantled Drax's laboratory in Venice cleaned it up.

The missing Modigliani from SKYFALL made it to the Moroccan crater base in SPECTRE:
I love this kind of detail. The sad thing is that Mendes doesn´t. This shot was NOT in the film so we hardly see the Modigliani... A lost opportunity... not like this, of course:
By the way, in Bond's room we had this Picasso, also stolen:

This is a brilliant touch.
It's such a shame they didn't bother to include a shot where the painting was clearly visible in Madeleine's room.
(And again - that yellow grading...)

I wonder if they thought about putting it in Bond's room and him seeing it again.
Sweet find.
