[The*SPY*]

I purchased the SPECTRE Blue Ray this past Tuesday and while watching it, I decided to turn on the English subtitles so I could check some of the dialogue that I didn't quite understand with my own ears (especially when it comes to some foreign language phrases, etc.

 

In dialogue between several people in the scene it will read the dialogue with the name of whose saying it (ie. BOND: My name is Bond, James Bond.)

 

I was surprised that immediately, dialogue spoken by Oberhauser was identified as BLOFELD, prior to Blofeld revealing his name change during the torture scene.  I know this was not the biggest of plot twists to anyone with any interest in the Bond movies, but you would think for the casual observer, they would attribute the dialogue to Waltz's character as it is revealed.  Very disappointing.

Almost as bad as David Walliams on the red carpet "We all know that Blofeld is in the movie..."

I guess the home release is acting more as nothing but truth - it's not going to start relaying spoilers / non-spoilers during the subtitles. I think whoever did them pretty much is telling the truth. Oberhauser is Blofeld and that's it, they're telling it as is.

Ha, that's ridiculous. No common sense in the subtitling department then.
