Was recently tipped-off about a 2012 UK 'Bond' series of DVD's which had similar sleeves - or slipcovers - to the 'white sleeve' range currently in release in North America.
The 'package design' of the UK sleeves (see attached image, below) is stated as being 2012; but to the best of my knowledge no such sleeves/slipcovers were issued in the UK in 2012; in several years of trawling for Bond-related video sleeves on several international auction sites, I have never seen even one example of this sleeve from any territory other than Japan and North America.
I suspect that a 2012 UK release, with these sleeves, may have been planned but dropped in favour of the now-familiar '50th Anniversary' range. It's also possible that the 'white sleeves' will sport the inevitable reissue that complements the premiere release of 'Spectre' (the 2012 mockups being utilised on various retailer sites).
If any among the readership is in possession of one of these 2012 UK sleeves/slipcovers, could they please confirm it on this thread.
