There's a Press Screening right now. Reviews should be within the next few hours. Twitter went into meltdown when Skyfall was released. I hope it's the same this time around! Exciting times indeed!

You mean, the film stopped due to a power cut? Is it back on or?

Spectre: the elegant ghost of vintage Bonds gone before. Cruel, dark & handsome, GSOH. Liked this a lot, surpassed expectations.

I hope by "nods" he means relevant plot connections, not winks and nods intended as lip service to the fans. Way too much of that lately. We don't need more homages.

Still, glad the screening seems to have garnered positive responses.

Initial #Spectre thoughts then: Everything you expect a Bond film to do well, it does. Great action set-pieces, nice touches of humour...... but there is so much wrong with it. Terrible plot contrivances, a saggy middle, unearned relationships. The main problem with Spectre is that it tries too hard to be interesting by making Bond himself interesting. But the more you define him...... the more you paint him into a corner. A better film here would be to make the PLOT interesting and just let Bond be Bond throughout it.

Thrilled by SPECTRE. Perfect hybrid of vintage Bond panache and Craig era grit. Almost the true 50th anniversary film three years late...

Christa @Big_Pants 3m3 minutes ago

#Spectre is ace but doesn't quite hit the dizzy heights of Skyfall. Still, the humour was much appreciated & Craig is still a perfect 007

It really does seem like the positive reviews are outweighting the negative ones! Seen a few negative ones on Twitter, but really not as much as I've seen ones that are really really positive!

#Spectre was so so so so good!! Christoph Waltz was...

Rachel Tregenza @racheltreg 2m2 minutes ago

Another first-rate Bond movie from Sam Mendes and team, and truly brilliant music from Thomas Newman #SPECTRE

Sam Gray @samgraay 3m3 minutes ago

Christoph Waltz is a really good baddie who just lights up the screen. And there's an unmissable sequence involving needles. #Spectre

Marcus Woolcott @Gyropitus 3m3 minutes ago

Glad I got to see it first, but seeing it again for sure. It's one of THE best Bond films and a worthy follow-up to Skyfall.

Sarah Jane @SJ_Griffiths 49s50 seconds ago

Enjoyed #Spectre lots (ok maybe a tiny bit less than Skyfall, but still lots to like) And probably a bit in love with Lea Seydoux now

Simon Conway @SimonConway 1m1 minute ago

#Spectre is classic Bond - swaggering drunken sexpestering murdering Bond. Oh & he's fighting Tories over surveillance powers, it seems

Sam Goodman @drsamgoodman

Very impressed with #SPECTRE. A blend of old and new that didn't feel forced like Skyfall did. Full review tomorrow on BBC's Free Thinking.

I'm intrigued about the "high tech torture sequence" - what's that all about I wonder?

The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw gave Skyfall four stars last time, I think. He was the reviewer who compared Craig's Bond with Robert Shaw's Red Grant and Patrick McGoohan's Number 6 in "The Prisoner" He must have really enjoyed himself this time!
