There was a brand new clip on Graham Norton!

Bond in Mexico running to the helicopter. Sciarra runs in the helicopter, then Bond appears, grabs a cane from a bystander and smacks one guy in the face with it, jumps in the helicopter and starts beating the pilot. Beautiful long shot of the Helicopter just spinning out of control above a crowd of a thousand people. Looked amazing. It'll probably appear at somepoint.

When I showed Mrs Hornet the clip of the train fight she said "No wonder the man wants a break!"

Try the "All New Alexei Sayle Show" on YouTube - there's an episode involving Waltz playing a baddie named "Weak Mustache". Very funny - not just him, the whole clip.

Unless this is what you were referring to already? ;-)

Presumably this is the action scene Newman said was unconventionally scored?

It's "scored" with that atrocious song "Day Of The Dead" (featuring Tambuco)

It does the job. It provides local colour and a sense of scale and groundedness, to contrast with the manic action aboard the helicopter.

I like it, and it's hardly out of left field. There's a massive crowd below and Newman's given us a Mexican chant. This also allows the action to speak for itself, with the chant setting the local atmosphere.

Anyone seen the new clips over the past few days which concentrate on Oberhauser? One implies that the previous Craig adventures have all led to SPECTRE. Another makes it clear why Oberhauser is the author of all Bond's pain.

Of course by the end of today those of us in the UK and Ireland will know why.

For me at least "five hours fifteen minutes and countink"! ;-) (In a manner of speaking borrowed from a previous "SPECTRE" film!)

I wonder if I'll be the only member of the audience wearing a watch with the SPECTRE octopus on its face - one of those Swatch villains watches from when QoS was released - and turning off a mobile with the same tentacular symbol on as its display? I'm certainly the only member of our council with both! ;-)

Yes. Annoying isn't it? Why they can't release the same day I don't know, but we keep getting this staggered release of Bond every time, and sometimes it's us Brits who are behind-hand.

8pm for me in the cheap seats of Basingstoke, but I ain't complaining.

And I've got the 11:10pm showing eyed up in case it's worthy of a second viewing straight after to take it all in again!

Local multiplex, studio 1, 7.30 pm Row S seat.....7 (Should that be 007?)

A woman I know from my local named Tracy - she says she was named by her Bond fan dad after Tracy di Vicenzo - is going the same night but later on. Dare say we'll be comparing notes some time this week over a drink!

"You might very well say that, I couldn't possibly comment" - copyright PM Francis Urquhart and/or President Frank Underwood, both of who wouldn't have been looked of place at a Quantum meeting! ;-))

I rather honestly considered doing that. The wait until next Thursday here in Canada is going to be excruciating. I've got to be one of the most hardcore Bond fans on the planet - it's tough to stomach that there's a new film out and so many people will have seen it before me!

Yes, I brought it up with my wife. She's never been to London and I've always wanted to take her. Thought it would be nice way to role my own selfish desires in with it, taking her for the opening of Spectre. Alas, the idea wasn't practical. But it's good to see a fellow Canadian rotting here with me.
