Does anybody who's seen it care to take a crack at putting the soundtrack in film order?

One thing I'm curious about - what cue (if any) goes between Day of the Dead and WOTW?

Nothing from the official OST. The end of Grand Bazaar, Istanbul from Skyfall (4:00 onwards) is rearranged, and then it goes into am strings/piano lead-in to Smith's WOTW.

Praying for this score to get a FYC release like SF. That had most of the unreleased material though unfortunately it edited out all quotations of the Bond theme for copyright reasons. Are there any other missing cues apart from the gunbarrel, the end of PTS and the WOTW instrumental?

There's also a new cue from the Tokyo meeting.

Thanks - sounds like there might be a fair amount of material left off then (the gun barrel for one)...

Oh, interesting (re: PTS music). So the helicopter fight is, in fact, scored - but with the same Skyfall cue we hear in the back end of "Backfire?"

Yeah, from the point where the helicopter takes off its scored with the back end of Grand Bazaar (not just the bit we hear in Backfire), ending with a segue to WOTW

I've had a go from memory with the scenes it relates to, but this should be in order of the film:

Los Muertos Vivos Estan ftTambuco (Pre-titles opener)
Day Of The Dead ft Tambuco (Pre-titles plaza music in background)
Vauxhall Bridge (MI6 meet in London)
The Eternal City (Arriving in Rome and the funeral)
Donna Lucia (Bond and Lucia)
A Place Without Mercy (Bond arrives at the SPECTRE meeting)
Backfire (Bond and Hinx car chase)
The Pale King (Bond finds Mr White)
Kite In A Hurricane (Bond and White talk shop)
Crows Klinik (Bond departs for the Clinic)
**
Snow Plane (Austria plane chase)
L'Americain (Bond and Swann arrive in Tangier)
Secret Room (Bond and Swann learn Mr White’s secrets)
**
Hinx (Finale of the Bond v Hinx train fight)
Writing's On The Wall (Instrumental) (Bond and Swann get intimate for all of about 20 seconds)
Silver Wraith (Bond and Swann are driven to the SPECTRE crater)
A Reunion (Bond and Swann meet Oberhauser)
Tempus Fugit (Bond and Swann flee Oberhauser)
Safe House (MI6 meet at the London safe house)
Blindfold (Bond is blindfolded for a London drive)
Careless (M confronts Denbigh)
Detonation (A relic is laid to rest prematurely)
Westminster Bridge (The London finale)
Out Of Bullets (Bond makes a choice)
Spectre (End Titles – blend of all of the above)

** Madeleine (Can’t be certain this plays in full, more like snippets appear here and there)

Many thanks! I plan on putting it in order when iTunes puts it out, also including WOTW in the 3rd spot...

I think most of the "Madeleine" track plays over the scene with Bond and Dr Swann dressed to the nines in the dining car - up until the point when Hinx arrives.

Yeah, I'm sure it plays when she enters, that's actually the only real moment I can remember hearing it prominently.

IIRC that's just a re-arrangement of Someone Usually Dies from SF. Wasn't there also a cue for Q revealing the DB10 and Bond's injection?

Somewhere between Bond's shots from the rooftop, the explosion, the hotel collapsing and the foot chase, I remember something similar to the opening of The Pale King, followed by a variation on Backfire.

Agreed. One of my favourite tracks on the soundtrack album is "Los Muertos Vivos Estan" - the Bond theme is referenced a lot in that one.

I think the track used for the helicopter fight is 'Tempus Fugit' - those dream-like flutter noises at 00:40 can be heard as the helicopter begins to drop from the sky.

That makes sense as Tempus Fugit means "time flies"

Where the vamp and the theme, but not the guitar riff (which is what I think Twlingalot means).

The helicopter fight is a bit of Tempus Fugit + the very end of Backfire (the Grand Bazaar quote). Tempus Fugit is heard in full later when Bond escapes from the lair with the help of his watch.

I was indeed speaking about the guitar riff. If it isn't in the movie, I think this is the first time this happens in the whole franchise (unless it is used somewhere in the end credits).

Do you know if Monty Norman receives royalties for the vamp too?

I read somewhere "The Name's Bond, James Bond" (Arnold's) is used again. Surely the guitar riff must be included as part of that.

Not in the main body of the film as far as I know - maybe the gunbarrel or end credits? I'm no good on versions.

One thing about the way 'WOTW' has changed to me, is that I'm going to watch it again tonight and 100% seriously can't wait for the opening titles because it's one of THE best in the series if not THE best. Everything about it works so well for the film, for DC as Bond and his whole journey that is sends shivers up my spine with the song that fits it perfectly.

It's so good.

The titles are one of the best parts of the film. Exotic, erotic, downright wierd at times and the "shards of glass" part of the titles doing what the WOTW lyrics say. WOTW may not be everyone's cup of tea (personally I've grown to like it with repeated playing.) but it works well with the titles.

I agree that the title song works well with the titles, far better than I expected given what I heard prior to seeing the film. I just wish it had been a more uptempo "You Know My Name"-style song rather than a ballad. Small quibble.

I actually think the ballad worked here, keeping it very haunting with the tempo and grand in scale. Very theatrical at times.
