Just ran across this on Twitter.. Apparently some theater ushers will be sporting night vision goggles to try and catch anyone secretly filming during a showing of SPECTRE... :D  I just hope these ushers have a better working knowledge of the night vision eyewear than Saunders did in The Living Daylights...

Shows that SPECTRE is expected to be a big hitter, if they're more concerned about this than other blockbusters

This is going to be fun. Expect a few leaks to come out nonetheless.

Surely they have something better to do with their time. After all, the leak is more likely to come from people who actually work there. Hell, I used to work at a theater here in the U.S. for two years and I caught several people recording films from up top after hours.

I only just realised the Australian release date is a month behind the American and UK release. Wow, nice Christmas gift to the pirate websites there.

Avengers: Age Of Ultron popped on online to download a week before it's U.S. release, same with Quantum of Solace. Piracy is inevitable. I remember a screener of Skyfall coming out about a month or so after it was in theaters. As KM16 said, if it isn't from someone inside the auditorium, then it's an employee of some sort.

It would help matters if they had a single, worldwide release date rather than staggering different release dates for different countries.

I think I read somewhere that the reason they stagger the dates is so the cast may do all the press stuff and attend premieres in different territories. At some point, they'll have to decide what's more important: publicity or piracy.

This. Most people making tv and film say this yet studios insist on doing it despite how piracy friendly the model makes things in the internet age.
