Monsieur Hansen, I seriously doubt that any fan knows the subject better than the people who have been dealing with it for decades.
Fans might think they know and would do better - but they never do.
I will not challenge the know-how.
But I will definitely take a bet on your first assertion

So what does it an open-ended contract mean? I thought Craig was done for two more - Spectre and the next one.
You can bet they won't be screen-testing any other actors as part of the 'poker' game which Cubby and Roger did....

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the idea of two more was never official, as such.
Broccoli's comments of an open-ended deal are the best we've heard for a while. I guess it means they review his situation after each film; the producers want him to stick around for a while, but Craig renegotiates each time.

I agree it's a positive outlook based on the interview.
