If the output for this film will be anything like that for Skyfall, I daresay we will end up with three mediocre designs with multiple release dates to distinguish them for various territories.  To wit, I own ~25 posters for Skyfall across the three designs for US / English language International 1 Sheets and the UK quads.

 

That said, I do like the initial teaser poster.

 

Empire Design is responsible for the output for Craig's era, and I noted on their site, there was a 2015 variation to the November dated version we have seen thus far.

I have yet to see anything printed though and as time marches on towards an irrevocable digitisation of everything, I wonder if this one will be printed...  (I am sure it will; 'twas just a thought)

Most likely the posters will be crap again.  It seems like they put everything they had into the Casino Royale teaser poster, because that's the only decent poster we've gotten in a long time.  They've been abysmal since then, and what they were churning out prior to that one during the Brosnan films weren't anything to write home about either.

I thought the Quantum of Solace teaser was clever...

Looking at the Empire site, and their poster output, they do seem to favour;

 

1. Get the star shot

2. Stick him precisuely in the middle of the poster looking at the viewer

3. Maybe stick some stuff around him.  Or not.

 

To wit, Calvary, Dalas Buyers Club, Les Mis, Skyfall, Drive, Breaking Bad...  They did do, however, Oblivion, which was nice...!
