Hi,
I've been here about two weeks, but my apologies Athena007 for only seeing your welcoming post just now. Thanks for the shout-out to us new comers. I have been made to feel very welcome by everyone so far. It is clear from my brief foray that CommanderBond.net is an excellent and robust forum with a strong community of informed and passionate opinions.
To introduce myself: I am based in Canberra in Australia and I am a long-term Bond fan, both of the film franchise and the books, particularly Fleming. I had the Corgi Lotus submarine when I was a toddler (http://www.corgi.fre...s/Intro_269.htm) and the Corgi Goldfinger DB5 in 1985 (http://www.corgi.fre...s/Intro_271.htm) - I wish I still had these now! Have you seen the value of those on Ebay? I grew up in the Roger Moore era, and Octopussy was one of only three VHS films my family owned (we usually rented), so was watched a many, many, many times.
What brought me to this community was I wanted to find a group of like-minded enthuisiasts to swap ideas with and compare opinions and interpretations, rather than continually haranguing my brother - who is the only other person I know with close to the same amount of interest in the topic as I. So here I am, and thank you.
Cheers everyone,
Emrayfo

After a (very) lengthy hiatus, I thought it an apt time to return to the world of CBn. I've missed this place.

Hello! Firstly, very excited to be here. I've watched James Bond movies since I was a youngster. Remember Roger Moore Bond flicks on ABC when I was kid, and getting to sit up late to watch them! My first Bond film at a theatre was "A View to a Kill." It wasn't until Daniel Craig that James Bond became my top, undisputed movie entertainment choice. My top 3 favorite films ever: Casino Royale (watched over 100 times), Skyfall #2, and QOS #3. Timothy Dalton is my second favorite Bond. Not a big Connery fan! I'm from the eastern part of the U.S. Have a question: I can't get my avatar to work lol. Any help appreciated!

Welcome aboard, 75 !
The avatar thing is a common problem. There's a dedicated thread on it in the "Suggestions and support" forum. Someone there will be able to assist you.
