The Jaguar C-X75, a cancelled million-pound 850bhp hybrid supercar project, is set to star in the upcoming James Bond film Spectre.

Individuals involved with the project have reported on the ongoing engineering works to the car, which are designed to make it suitable for filming use.

Very nice car- so Spectre will be full of people driving cars that money can't buy! :)

Goodness me that's a bit flash for a villain?!

Wow - Bond films are certainly keeping on top of the auto trade.

I doubt Hinx would fit into that car with his huge, muscle-massed body!

Finally a car that can keep up with an Aston.

Strange, they could have used one of the current models, like F-Type or something. Still, good to see the C-X75 being put to good use. Where´s our cbn jag man for comment?

I hope you're not thinking of me. Granted, I do cherish what I have.

A few months back I heard rumor through the Jag club that this was being eyed for Bond. She's a beauty for sure and I like that it's the villain's car. Much like in the novel Moonraker, Bond does admire Drax's Mercedes. It certainly matches the new DB10.

In my own fan-fic, 003's Jaguar is referred to as "the big Blue Cat". This beast certainly merits respect though.

Great car from the specs I've read of and has damn good stats.

Jaguar don't really have a high end model anymore which isn't a saloon. The F Type is lovely but a budget model compared to most Astons.

As the article says though, this fits nicely with their 'good to be bad' ad campaign where they play up how all villains drive Jags. I'm sure an F Type will pop up somewhere; just like those Evoques in Skyfall!

Uh-oh. Having flashbacks to the last time Bond, in his Aston, faced off against the villain in a Jaguar....

No harm in being careful - we're on an upswing but there's an unfortunate precedent for this sort of thing. :P

Wasn't the model in DaD also a non-production prototype/concept car? Maybe Jaguar is trying to step away from the whole 'villain' image by only offering their prototypes to bad guys. That way nobody can walk to the lot and say they want the same car SPECTRE drove!

Not really; it was just a customised XKR.

Do we think this car will see any action or is it just for show?

I'm guessing it'll involve a high-speed, death-defying and intense chase between Bond in the DB10 and whoever is driving the C-X75.

Good to see Jaguar staying with the Bond fold. I for one was quite happy when Bond finally got behind the wheel of one in Skyfall.

As long as it is not reminiscent for the AM / Jag chase in DAD.

It's been widely reported that there's a car chase in Rome, so it's safe to assume that's where the action will take place.

I tend to think it won't see any stunt type stuff. I think there's only a few prototypes around and I doubt Jaguar will want them smashed up. I guess they may be building new ones for film so nothing's impossible.

That was pretty much the only action sequence that I enjoyed in the whole film.
