I know this is the title of a rejected Shirley Bassey song which was going to be used for Thunderball (in fact parts of it can be heard in the score throughout the film), but I think it would work as a movie title as well.  (Possibly if used right as the title score as well, even if redone for modern sensibilities-as long as they didn't get someone awful to do it)?

Your thoughts?

Personally I liked Thunderball (my favorite JB movie, and the remake Never Say Never Again) as well..

It has already worked as a film title, surely?

I don't think it would be a great title for a Bond film.

It would be a terrible title, more like a MAD Magazine parody.

There was a movie with that title, without the commas, about ten years ago with Robert Downey Jr and Val Kilmer. I highly recommend it.

Agreed, was about to make the same point.

Really good film.

Nor do I.

There was also a eurospy flick in 1966 with roughly the same title.

However, it would've made for a great alternative title song in Thunderball.

Alright then do you think that at least the theme song (like I said possibly redone for modern tastes) should be used for a theme song for a JB film?  I think it would be possible if done right and kept as a Jazzy song possibly remixed for modern tastes.

I feel that the prevalence of the instrumental version of "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" is a little too strong in the score for 'Thunderball' and a lot of people would decry it as a "lack of imagination" and deriding Eon by saying things to the effect of "the well has gone dry."

If Eon got desperate, they *might* sign off on the first James Bond Rap theme song with "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" as a background sample... but I'd like to think we have another 10 years until they get that desperate for new ideas!

Please NO rap for a James Bond theme no matter how "desperate" they become.   Another Way to Die was bad enough and that wasn't rap, but did have a few rap like elements in it!

I like the titles Devil May Care and Carte Blanche.

They don't necessarily have to follow the plots of those books.
