Dan Gale's Bond Mysteries returns with the tedious inevitability of an unloved season.

But this is the biggest one we have ever done, this time charting the often uncanny similarities between YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE (1967) and THE SPY WHO LOVED ME (1977). Its length and girth are truly eye watering. Can you take it all?

It's the biggest.
It's the best.
It's the same film. And B-E-Y-O-N-D.

...or Twice vs Spy vs Moonraker?!

You could add Tomorrow Never Dies to that list, as well.

Not quite. In YOLT, TSWLM & MR we, the audience, don't know who is behind the villain's plans, although we can have a darned good guess early on in the movie and get it 100% right. In TND, right after the theme tune, we know who has sunk the British warship, how they did it and have a idea why they did it - Carver getting excited about "bad news" being a clue.

Isn't this called "The Bond Formula"?

More like "The Lewis Gilbert Formula".

YOLT/TSWLM/MR are virtually the same film.

TSWLM works best in my opinion, for no other reason than this: It is the only one that is superior to its Fleming source material.
