How about substituting the word 'unofficial' with 'aberration'?

I prefer "highly questionable creative decision".

Was Jacqueline Bisset dubbed by another actress, because the filmmakers hated her original voice? Some people claimed she was.

Most UN member states now recognize CASINO ROYALE (1967) as offical.

It is always fun to tell people that the first on-screen James Bond was the hotel manager from The Shining

Haha one of the curious ironies of the universe!

Silly humour? Used in MOONRAKER.
Huge, chaotic battle sequence at the end? used in YOLT, OHMSS, DAF, TSWLM, MR, TLD, TND.
Acid spitting fountain pen and the quip about it being useful for poison pen letters? Lifted almost verbatim for OCTOPUSSY.
Scottish castle setting? Hello SKYFALL.
Scottish piper with bagpipes that are also machine guns/flame throwers? Used in TWINE.

For an unofficial spoof, it's influences run deep in the Eon films to this day.
Albeit coincidentally.

Being reminded that Charles K. Feldman had approached Broccoli to make a deal to "share" the rights for 'Casino Royale' and being turned down due to issues with Kevin McClory just makes my brain go to weird place: a place where there are TWO rival companies trying to make their own Bond films...

The potential for 'Warhead 2000' to have been actually made by McClory and released around the time of 'Tomorrow Never Dies' was bad enough, but can you imagine there also having been members of Feldman's estate making a deal with Sony to produce 'Death Baccarat 2001' or some such nonsense!?

Yes, potentially, if the rights hasn't been bought by Eon or if there was someone as bloody minded as McClory working for Feldman, there could have been three: Eon, mostly ignoring the books and writing original films, McClory constantly remaking Thunderball and The Feldman Estate making Casino Royale again and again every few years. There'd probably be a different actor in each one, they'd all try to be unique and create their own universe....nightmare.

'Casino Royale' and different actors playing James Bond!? That sounds like some kind of "comedic" nightmare!

Watching CR'67 immediately before MR and DAD makes those two films seem like gritty, down to earth, serious adventures by comparison.

Otherwise? it's dead to me.
