On this topic, I still have my VHS tapes of Dr No to DAD.
Do I throw them away or donate to a library or something?

If you can find one that will take them.

I may have played a certain Bond VHS tape until the damned tape broke from the casing... What a bitter pill to swallow it was.
After that, I had no problem getting rid of the rest of them.

I gave all my VHS tapes to a Bond friend of mine many years ago - after my VHS player went the way of a Bond villain. I bought most all the DVD's, and I have downloads from iTunes for the last 3 Bonds. Who know what will be the next medium! I still miss my 8 track player.

Well, there's already Blu Ray. Digital Downloads (iTunes, Amazon etc), Streaming (Netfix, Amazon Prime Video) - and that's just the legal methods.

Donate them to Op shops like Vinnies, Smith Family, etc. They tend to have collections of VHS tapes for those less fortunate who still can't afford to upgrade to DVD/Blu-ray.
