From the Bond in Motion press event - But they talk about how the new film is developing.

EDIT - Bond 24 will feature a brand new Aston Martin that audiences haven't seen before.

Thanks for this!  Although BB and MGW, expectedly, don´t reveal anything yet.  Except maybe that they have not chosen an actor for the villain yet.

Which might be true or a smokescreen, as always.

Yes. I remember the "we haven't chosen anyone to sing the song - but watch this space" when in fact Adele had been selected and working on it from before the film started shooting.

BB's talk of selecting the villain in the next couple of months says to me that they are actually in the final stages of negotiations with some one.

But that's just my guess. We might get a rummer that's worth listening to very soon, especially if it comes from Baz at the Mail or anyone at Deadline.

Thanks for this!

I can't say the promise of 'more of the same vein' comforts me much, as I'm not the biggest fan of SF, but it's nice to hear them saying similar things to Logan about the approach they're taking - it's always good to hear blockbuster filmmakers not contradicting each other.

Well, you seem to rank SF pretty highly... ;-)

That I do ;)

What I mean is, I'm not worried about the quality of Bond 24, but I am worried about arbitrarily repeating SF... I'd rather have another FRWL or TB.

Here is a link to a bit more - Michael G. Wilson reveals a bit more here, I'd call this headline news.

Bond 24 will feature a brand new Aston Martin that audiences haven't seen before.

http://www.itn.co.uk...goes-on-display

The 2015 Aston Martin will be the V12 Vantage S, so I suppose it is most likely that.

No problem - Isn't it great to get our first bit of news about the film's actual content?  :)

Other than the ITN report video, which doesn't highlight this as news, I think we are the first to spot this gem of information. I predict it will be all over the web very soon.

I like that Daniel Craig is involve in the process of writing/choosing the villain as he is the main charater after all! I guess you can say he is an unofficial producer for Bond 24

Very happy to hear that they're going with a new Aston. The goal I'd imagine is to begin a new age of modern Bond iconography that will resonate with the public in a similar way as the 1960's films have. I suppose that begins with ushering in a new car that in 50 years time will be as meaningful to the movie going public as the DB5.

In order to start building a fresh iconography, I hope they go with a colour that is not a shade of silver grey for the new Aston Martin, that would be the simplest and most effective way to make it stand apart from the past.

Other than the 2015 V12 Vantage S, the other possibility is the 2016 V8 Vanquish.

I like what I hear.

As far as an Aston that we havn't seen before though, they pretty much look mostly alike.

"...and the one Bond won during “Casino Royale” is probably still not out of the shop, due to the damage that was caused by flip-flopping away from Vesper."

Not sure I understand this.  The one he won in CR did not flip flop anywhere.  The one he was assigned by his office did the flipping...

No surprise about the Aston Martin, still hoping Bond 7 gets a Lotus.

Is that Bond suppose to be at M's grave?

I concur. I'm thinking perhaps a navy/darker blue.

We got the chance to quiz Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, the long-time producers of the series about Logan’s comments at the opening of ‘Bond In Motion’, a new 007 exhibition opening this week at the London Film Museum.

"What is he talking about? He can’t say that,” quipped Wilson, "He’s not supposed to be talking about what he’s writing.”

"We’re the middle of it… you know, it’s still early stages in terms of the scriptwriting.” explained Broccoli, "It’s the exciting part, where everything is possible."

"We’re getting all the creative forces together, so watch this space."

One thing that they could tell us was that Bond would be getting a new Aston Martin.

"We’re looking at one, but that’s a secret. It’s a new design.” said Wilson.

"We were with Aston Martin yesterday, that’s how up to date we are with it!” added Broccoli.

and

Chris Corbould, veteran special effects supervisor on the Bond films, and many other blockbusters, offered some insight into the development of the action scenes.

"It’s generally 6-8 months out that we start talking. I’ve been talking with Sam [Mendes, the director] about various concepts at the moment, but it’s very exciting times when you’re moulding the scripts and trying to come up with new challenging sequences that you haven’t necessarily seen before on screen.”

"It gets harder and harder, like the digger on the back of the train from ‘Skyfall’, or the train coming through the ceiling. They’re all part of a collaborative process where you all try to come up with something different with the stunt coordinators, second unit directors, Sam, the writer, Michael, Barbara, they all have ideas."

"We just pitch them in and see which is the best.”

http://uk.movies.yah...-172952701.html

So we have confirmation that Chris Corbould will be back for Bond 24 and that he is already at work with Mendes and the team developing action and other stuff involving effects.

Exciting stuff about the new Aston.

COME AND DIVE, lame. However the idea of Bond visiting M's grave is an interesting idea for a teaser trailer.

I'd rather they not have Bond visiting her grave.  The Bond franchise needs to start looking to the future rather than spending so much time looking to the past.

Agreed.  I want something fresh and unburdened by the events of SKYFALL.  And come to think of it, it will be three years on (like it was for SKYFALL) - and Bond will have been on several missions for Fiennes-M.  The past is the past, please.

I agree too. Also, spending valuable screen time visiting the old M's grave would be a needless tangent unless it has some bearing no the story and I certainly don't want them to keep going on and on about the Dench M. Yes, let's have a fresh story and leave her in the past. I think I'd also find it overly sentimental for Bond, him taking time out to lament over the grave of his old boss. Anyway, this thing is an obvious fake so no real reason to worry about it happening.

Chris Corbould returning is a good sign I guess, so I hope they come up with good and exciting action set pieces. But I don't want another revenge story, keep it fresh and intriguing.

It was suggested for the teaser trailer, not for the movie.

Personally, I don´t need that for the teaser trailer either.  For that I want bright, colorful shots of Bond in action, some humor, a sexy new Bond girl.

Yep, I´m that shallow.

No criticism of you, presumably the teaser trailer would show stuff from the film, they usually do. I was just joining in the debate as to if this would be a good addition to the film or not.  :)
