I never mentioned DAD once....:)
Seriously, I was disappointed by DAD and felt I had to voice my opinion in few posts as to why. My feelings about the film can be summed up in one sentence - "The first half ROCKS!, The second half SUCKS!". I just can't sit back and accept a film that promised so much and delivered so little. I don't believe in the hype but from what I'd seen it did look as if it was going to be a lot better. Pity they didn't put some of the CGI shots and **** one-liners in the trailer. That might have influenced my decision a bit earlier :)
I am a huge Bond fan but DAD it just not a Bond film but a film with a character called Bond in it.He's been turned into one of the X-Men as far as I can see and whilst I know it will never happen I would love to see a smaller plot/character driven piece along the lines of FRWL/OHMSS/FYEO. As I say, this will never happen as the bottom line nowadays is $$$ and they wouldn't risk doing that after they see the receipts from DAD. There were hints of the old Bond in DAD but not many. I'm all for updating and reinventing the series (GoldenEye did this perfectly) but to go overboard with the CGI effects and impossible situations is too much. Bond films are renowned for doing things for real. Not any more.

Le Chiffre could end up working for SPECTRE. Bond would find this out about halfway through the film, then Bond would meet Blofield again for the first time in 20 years. Blofelf could escape at the end of the movie to pave way for the next film. The ultimate Bond vs. SPECTRE Bond film, and Brosnan's smashing finale to his 6 film run as Bond.

I think it would be great, and fans would eat it up. To get away from the Dr. Evil cliche though, I say rework Blofelds appearance, keep the cat, but give him hair, maybe slightly balding, but still more hair than Pleasance had.

Didn't the SPECTRE die in For your eyes only? Well, assuming CR takes place before the last four Bonds (GE, TND, TWINE and DAD), then we'll never know the exact order of the series....or maybe it's just me. :)

Why would CR have to take place before the last four Bonds? It could take place now and still work, just as I explained it. As for Blofeld, we have no idea if he died or not, I bet that wheelchair had a rocket on it too :)

After all, as someone pointed out, SMERSH is outdated, but having Le Chiffre work for SPECTRE would be great, and I think it would interest a lot of fans.
