Bond buffs will need A View To A Kill to see off competition for a rare collection of books up for auction next weekend.
With two first editions among the mint condition set of Ian Fleming’s MI6 agent novels, Village Auctions director Malcolm Barry is expecting a flurry of bids for the lot.
He said: “We had a collector who brought them in and they are all from the 1950s and 60s and in their original covers. When you open the books you can smell the age of them.”
Diamonds Are Forever, Goldfinger, Thunderball, From Russia With Love, Live and Let Die, You Only Live Twice, Dr No and The Man With The Golden Gun all form part of the collection. For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy are the two first editions.
