The Roger Moore starring, Peter Hunt directed "Shout at the Devil" is to be released on Blu-ray here in the U.S:

What makes this especially noteworthy is that the movie has never had a good DVD release in the U.S, The DVD version out there is terrible quality, but the company releasing this Blu-ray (with the coincidental name "Shout Factory") has a very good track record of releasing quality Blu-rays of older movies.

Thanks for the post! I will try and pick this one up. I have many of Moore's films on VHS or DVD, but I do not have this one.

Received this blu ray/dvd combo last week and watch it today.

Great version with a duration of  150 minutes, but never get borring or overlong. Only seeing the killing of elephants gave me a bad feeling.

Good to know. I saw that Gold is out on blu ray in the UK. I'm not sure if it is region free though.

I've received the Gold blu ray a couple of weeks ago, but didn't find the time to get it out of it's seal to watch it. The back says region A, B, C. So that means region free. There's also a Roger Moore docu on it.

Thanks for the info! I will have to import a copy of it!

How is the Video and Audio picture quality on the disc?

I have a very cheap pan and scan US DVD of the film. Found it for $5 or so. Not a very good copy.

I saw the Gold soundtrack has also been reissued on cd as well.

For those that have seen the new Shout At The Devil blu ray how is the video and audio on that title? It is one that I currently do not own.
