Has anyone seen this yet? Is it the uncut version, and what is the PQ and AQ like?

So I am guessing that nobody has viewed the Blu-ray?

That's the only Bond movie I've never watched, except a few minutes on YouTube (the whole movie has been uploaded there). I've got no interest in watching it.

I picked it up on Amazon a little while ago when I got Never Say Never Again and I have to say that keeping in mind this is from 1954 the quality is pretty good. It does seem to be remastered and looks and sounds better than the other versions of this that are around. It also actually has the full ending too which is nice.

Going to have to pick this up. Already have CR 67 and NSNA, might as well complete the boat. Now if only that long lost Moonraker film was actually real

I've got CR(67) which also includes the 54 version, so I lucked out. I've only watch it once or twice though. I prefer it over the 67 version.
I wonder how much better they can make a film from 1954 look.

I would consider myself a completist but since this version is so different in intent and tone I have no desire to watch it.
I'm surprised anybody feels that way. I've seen it several times and enjoy it. It's a remarkably faithful adaptation of the book.

I agree. For those who have called for a noir-ish adaptation of Fleming's first book, this is it, and the fact that the nationalities of Bond and Leiter were reversed in this early stand-alone version hardly matters. It was particularly nice to see Flemng's cane gun scene played out so well.

I've always loved it. Very much a 50s live TV presentation, but it is definitely a noirish Bond. I wish I still had my copy (it got lost in a recent move).
