Another sad loss to the industry, actor Richard LeParmentier passed away late Tuesday evening whilst visiting famly out in Austin, Texas.

LeParmentier will be most famously remembered and loved for his role as Admiral Motti in 'A New Hope', the Empire officer who was the first victim (second if you're picky and count Padme Amidala in Ep.III) of Darth Vader's iconic Force Grip onboard the Death Star for showing his lack of faith in the Force. Which was disturbing.

But also he found fame in roles in such as 'Superman' and 'Superman II', 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?' and his cult role as a US Army aide in the 1983 Bond movie 'Octopussy' with his tongue-in-cheek line "I’m sure the general will get a big blast out of this." to villain Kamal Khan, moments from wanting to detonate a nuclear bomb on US soil in Germany.

RIP. We sure got a big blast from watching you.
