Eleven years ago today, I registered on CBn.
Almost a year later, I was invited to join the CBn Team of Moderators.
I discovered the world of 007 via the books at the tender age of five with "From Russia With Love" - A battered signet paperback (I still own) and then was awarded with "Live and Let Die" by my sitter (a wonderful lady and former school teacher named Mrs. Mills) who taught me how to work a Zippo lighter (she smoked Marlborough Reds) and to always look a lady in the eye when lighting her cigarette and also taught me how to make a proper High Ball cocktail. Perfect sitter/nan for a young chap in the early 70's.
It was around age seven (Right Then!) that my response of "There are movies of these?" put the hook firmly in my young craw.
Time went on and Bond was a part of my life. My parents thought it rather funny and my Dad always let me stay up to watch a Bond movie.
It's my life and now with the internet, a part of my daily routine.
I wouldn't trade any of it for a DB5...Okay...Maybe that's stretching a bit.
I've had the honor of making many great friends and encountered many Bond fans the world over.
My life wouldn't be what it is with friends and fans like all here.
My name's Axworthy...Charlie Axworthy and I'm honored to have been a part of this crazy journey.
Here though, I'm John Bryce - 003 and I answer to the Admiral on the great ship CBn.
Cheers all and Thank You.
