I recently came across an usual serialization of OHMSS in the San Francisco Examiner from 1964- filled with gorgeous illustrations. I ran it by Jon Gilbert, Lee Pfeiffer, and Matt Bradford (double o section), and non of us had ever seen it before. Check out the story and graphics on Spy Vibe:

A very neat find! The illustrations and layout are stylish in that early 60s way. I wonder how many other local papers had these sort of independently produced serializations?
