No, but I'm fairly confident you've posted quite extensively about this very topic before.

I work in one. You get your fair share of celebrities that come in every now and then. Sometimes they can be total jerks. The theater I work in is independent so we attract a lot of well-knowns. I swear though, some can be totally obnoxious and rude. Others, however can be pretty cool. Granted, when I serve a celebrity, I just treat them like an average customer.

Being that your location is Santa Monica, CA, you wouldn't happen to work at the Aero Theater would you?

Which celebrities have you met?

Pierce Brosnan came in one time along with wife Keeley. Dang, she is just getting bigger and bigger! Anyway, he came along with his two kids Paris and I forgot the other one, wanting to see a movie. The hardest thing to do is charge an actor. Anyway, the price was $22 dollars for both and he took out this huge money clip and put it in front of me and took the money out. I was like, damn. As he was paying for his and Keeley's tickets, both his kids were like, "I don't want to see anything playing here!" Paris, his youngest, was fooling around with his skateboard and almost bumped into a passerby and the Bros was all. "Paris! Hold that still!"

Hillary Swank also came in and was pissed that she couldn't buy a small popcorn by just showing her SAG (Screen Actors Guild) card. I mean, she only won two Oscars...God knows she couldn't afford a $3.50 popcorn.

Leonard Nimoy also came in. He was slunched over with a jacket and baseball cap on trying to be all
unnoticeable. I sold him two ice cream bars and to tell the truth, when actors do that stuff, it only draws more attention to them. I wanted to say, "That's $7 Spock." But I know actors don't really like being called out and just want to go to the movies like everyone else.

Yeah I think what Hillary Swank did was kind of annoying, you have to buy popcorn like everyone else sweetie..

Seriously! I mean, ultimately that's how we make our money. The concession stand is how we stay open. We don't get profit for selling tickets. That money goes to the distributors. So, the least she could have done was buy a popcorn. Oh well, people are funny (and jerks) lol

No, I haven't worked at a movie theater, but I really want to. I love film so much, I think it would be cool to see what working at a theater is like.

It depends what theater.. I would love working at the one close by my house because it is a super nice theater but other theaters aren't as good..

Yeah, it really all depends on what theater. You're right. For those of you in the U.S., I would stay away from applying to AMC...I heard stories about that company...Not so good. They basically take all your emotion away and have the strictest dress code ever! A co-worker of mine said that he almost got fired for wearing white socks instead of black...Yeah, a bit much. But if you're interested in working at a movie theater, try to find art house or small business theater.
