So, I got this crazy idea... why don't we write a Skyfall novelization on our own? I've already written the beginning, I will post it later.

This is what I wrote so far. It's not much, actually. Excuse my for my mistakes, I'm italian.

 

Sultriness is unbearable in Instanbul at three in the afternoon. Sun lights stroked the smooth skin of his tired face.
James Bond dried the sweat dripping on his front and entered in the room holding his gun. The sun crossed the tends of the windows and illuminated Bond's collegue slumped on the arm-chair, the blood dirtying his white shirt.

 

I think Fleming's Casino Royale references are pretty obvious in first line (if not, read the first line of Casino Royale again).

That's pretty much a straight rewrite of CR's opening line, but not bad. I think the story could start slightly earlier than that scene though. Such as Bond entering the hotel and hearing a gun shot, but arrives into the room too late.
