Films you remember watching, had a bit of hype, then just got totally forgotten about.............

Freejack

Space Jam

I remember Space Jam was huge when it came out, or at least it seemed it with the amount of hype and advertisement it received in the UK, cannot say I ever recall it being on the TV since (though I'm sure it has).

Other honorable mentions:

Super Mario Bros: The Movie
Hook
Never Say Never Again

Obviously Never Say Never Again isn't forgotten by us, but it's the Bond film you will hear the least about, when was the last time

you spoke about Bond to a casual viewer, and they said "Well I loved Never Say Never Again, that was a good one".

NSNA is usually lumped in with CR '67 as "that other film," "that remake of Thunderball," that one with Kim Basinger" or "that one that came second in the Battle of the Bonds."

It did get a lot of mention recently as not being a part of the Bond 50 Blu-ray set.

I always liked Twister, but very rarely see it on or mentioned these days.

OK ladies and gents, who remembers this ABOMINATION? It's one of those films I've never seen, but I just know it is absolutely dreadful:

Something else that was out around the same time, again not seen it, but it looks terrible:

Nah, don't remember either. Although I probably blocked them from my mind. Anything with Pam Anderson instantly makes me want to vomit. Anyhoo, how about this long lost gem from 2000:

Space Jam was the first time I was ever really, truly disappointed by a film.

I remember Barb Wire getting a lot of hype when it came out in the UK actually. Some of the kids in my class had stickers from the Barb Wire sticker album

I remember owning (and completing) the Goldeneye sticker album!

Still got it somewhere.

Guyver: Dark Hero

I remember having my friend over once when we were about... 12-13, and this was one of the first ever films I'd watched, which as older than my age and must be amazing because it was a 15, and we weren't, but we were watching it on video!! It looked scary, but exciting and had violence in!

Can't remember anything about it, but remember the VHS cover and it's never left me....but the film itself has, but I will remember it as one that I first felt I was watching something amazing!

Ah yeah! I vaguely remember that, but haven't seen it.

Who remembers this masterpiece?

This was surrounded by hype, then soon forgotten about.
